A Short History
Cottonfest was started as a small party, when
PJ Brunson and ocb released the "Come Hell Or High Water" CD,
a product of some 12 years of writing together.
MoonToons was their record label. They'd made a lot of contacts in
the business, many through David Childers, who played harmonica
and melodica on the CD and took care of them in the early days by
taking PJ to radio shows, gigs, etc. So it was only fitting that he play
at the first Cottonfest. One of the contacts made on those travels
was Guy Workman, who also joined in at CF 2003. That first year it
rained so hard the party had to move indoors...a crowded
atmosphere, but wonderful anyway. The list of friends grew, and so
did the party, from three acts in 2003, to a whole day of
great music!
